REGISTER NOW for the Independence Day Parade
From Paxtang
Paxtang Borough will sponsor our first annual Independence Day Parade on Monday July 4, 2011 at 10 am. The parade will form on 30th Street between Derry Street and Brisban Street. At 10 am it will proceed east on Derry Street to Wilhelm Road, north on Wilhelm Road to Montour Street, west on Montour Street to Paxtang Avenue, south on Paxtang Avenue to Derry Street, and west on Derry Street to the Municipal Building.
Light refreshments will be provided in the parking lot behind the Municipal Building after the parade. Council President John Ninosky, dressed in colonial garb, will read the Declaration of Independence and a band will play patriotic music!
Residents who live along the parade route are encouraged to decorate their homes and yards. There will be prizes for the best three houses along the route!
