-Paxtang enters the Fall and Winter seasons with excitement and activity throughout the Borough!+[[Image:Keldeen.jpg]]
-
-*In early October Paxtang Elementary celebrated International Walk to School Day.  Representative Sue Helm, District Attorney Ed Marsico and CD School Board President Helen Wagner joined our children, their parents, Sparkey the Fire Dog and Chuck E. Cheese in the walk to school.  As over 90% of Paxtang Elementary children walk to school, Borough sidewalks were very crowded!
-
-*Paxtang Elementary also celebrates their 100th year this school year.  All past students, young and old, are encouraged to return and remember the good times of years past.
-
-*The Paxtang Volunteer Fire Department enjoyed another successful Crabfest in September.  Many diets were started the following week.
- +
-*Our Volunteer Fire Company enjoys the support of our community because they courageously answer the call to protect our Borough as well as the surrounding communities.  They also take time out of their schedules to assist the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast, to provide for the safety of our children during Trick or Treat and help to deliver the Borough Newsletter.  These dedicated individuals deserve our respect and thanks.   +Friends and Neighbors,
-
-*For the second year, the “Scarecrows” are enjoying the Fall season.  The Scarecrows have prompted many positive comments from Borough residents and residents of surrounding communities and they demonstrate the sense of community that Paxtang enjoys.  Started at the suggestion of an Avenue resident, the Scarecrows are quickly becoming a seasonal highlight.
-
-*While the candy seems to be never ending, the Halloween season is drawing to a close.  Many thanks to the Lion’s Club for another tremendous Halloween parade and to the Paxtang Firefighters, Police Officers and Fire Police who offered their services to provide a safe and enjoyable Trick or Treat night to our children.  It was such a wonderful evening to watch all the children (and adults) in their costumes parade through the Borough.
-
-*In September Paxton Presbyterian celebrated their 275th anniversary which makes them the 2nd oldest Presbyterian Church in the United States.  Congratulations to the congregation members and Pastor Green!!+Welcome to the Mayor's Page.

We are blessed with the riches of history and old time traditions, multiple generations of families, and a diverse community of people.

-*The Hospice and Visiting Nurses Association's First Annual Butterfly Release to remember those who have passed before us.
-
-*The re-opening of Town and Country Day School which once again has children’s voices and laughter filling the hallways. +We may be small, but we are strong. Paxtang Pride is evident in our Paxtang Elementary School where most children can walk to school. One of the oldest Presbyterian Churches in the country is also located in Paxtang. We have our own Police Force and Volunteer Fire Company in addition to many fabulous organizations such as the Lenker Manor - Paxtang Women’s Group, the Wilhelm - Paxtang Athletic Association, Paxtang Lions Club, Paxtang Historical Society, Paxtang Art Association and more.

-*Finally, I encourage all residents to support our local businesses. It doesn’t have to be “First Friday” to support a local restaurant. After school, after soccer or baseball practice, before a meeting, take a short walk, greet a neighbor and dine out in Paxtang.

+If you like spending time outside, you will enjoy our two great parks or a walk on part of the Capital Area Greenbelt walking/biking path.

Friends and Neighbors,

Welcome to the Mayor's Page.

I am privileged to hold the position of Mayor of Paxtang Borough, as it is a wonderful place to live. We are blessed with the riches of history and old time traditions, multiple generations of families, and a diverse community of people.

We may be small, but we are strong.

If you like spending time outside, you will enjoy our two great parks or a walk on part of the Capital Area Greenbelt walking/biking path.

We are pet friendly in Paxtang. You will see as many tails as people most days if you pass through the Borough. We are currently working on the development of a network that activates at times of lost, found or “needs a new home” pets.

And the food options are fabulous - Greek, Italian, American, Egyptian, Chinese and Thai. The restaurants, many of which will welcome you as if you were family, will prove to have reasonable prices and delicious food!

Please visit Paxtang or take a look at the homes available. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do!

Warmest Regards,

Mayor Keldeen Stambaugh
