  • Microchipping and Vaccine Clinic

Saturday, April 9, 2011 CPAA will host a microchipping and vaccine clinic at the Emergency Services Building North, 1200 Good Hope Road, Mechancisburg, PA 17050 from 1 to 3 pm. Parking and entrance to the clinic will be in the back of the building. Microchipping wil be offered for $25, which includes the registration fee. Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines will be $10 each. Hotdogs, homemade soup, and baked goods will be available for purchase. Information will be available on fostering an orphaned dog or cat, free spay/neuter surgeries for feral and free-roaming cats, and reduced cost spay/neuter for owned pets. Special thanks to Hampden Township veterinarians Dr. Rob Heidecker from Good Hope Animal Hospital and Dr. Jennifer Todd from Lamb's Gap Animal Hospital for donating their time and talent to help at this clinic.   • Compassion with Fashion - Sunday, May 1, 2011

Doors open at noon, featuring Fashions by The Clothes Vine, Carlisle, Gowns by Design, Mechanicsburg, and Jewelry by Lia Sophia, Sonya Mink representative. Premier runway seats are $110 each, or a table of ten for $1,100. All other seats are $60 each, or a table of ten for $600. Special guests will be dogs and cats from CPAA's member rescues, who will strut their stuff on the catwalk.   • Cool Cars for Cats and Canines! Exotic Car Show, Location: AACA Museum, Hershey (Antique Auto Museum)

Time:10:00AM, Saturday, April 30th. Over 50 exotic cars will be there!


  • May 7th, 1-4pm. Hummelstown Pets On the Square.

The sidewalks around Center Square are filled with animal rescues, pet service providers, pet merchandise vendors and children activities. Dressed pets compete for prizes & ribbons in five categories. The Grand Finale … a pet parade right down the middle of Main Street!

  • HSHA - Dine for the Animals! Join HSHA's Auxiliary at Legends Restaurant at the Park Inn Harrisburg West (formerly Holiday Inn) on March 24 and mention the Humane Society for 20% of your bill to be donated to HSHA (not including alcohol)!


  • Bark for Life HSHA is partnering with the American Cancer Society for their Bark for Life event on April 30th! We will be at the event with adoptable dogs, and participants are encouraged to bring a donated item from HSHA's wish list, especially paper towels, linens, cat litter, any heavy duty toys.   • HSHA Auxiliary Yard Sale "Sneak Peek" Sale! HSHA's auxiliary is offering a "Sneak Peek" sale BEFORE their popular spring yard sale! The sneak peek will be on March 27th at the River Rescue Flea Market. Click for details.
